Replying to Not a Utah vs. Colorado thread

I'm wondering what you guys (as in people who've spent significant time in both states) perceive as far as crowds go. Both Colorado and Utah obviously see a ton of tourism and have large airports and cities close to skiing, so it's not surprising that the resorts that see the most visitors in the US are located there. I'm kind of wondering what I'd like to take a look at next.

Do you notice a significant difference in the general levels of crowding in either state? I'm assuming they are both just as unpleasant from December 24th-January 3rd, but in general what do you guys think?
