I love NS but its not like you are donating to Harvey's beer fund anymore. They don't need your money if you want to donate to NS click on a Toyota AD 500 times.

you get access to donators forums for donating. And there are a lot of people working hard to make newschoolers the website it is today, why would you not give them $5 as thanks

It isnt about being a bad person, its just a way of saying thanks for the 100000s of hours of fun NS have provided. Think of it this way: How much would you pay to do something fun? Say for example to go skiing. For a day (6 or so actual hours of skiing, depending on opening/ close/ lunch times) will cost anywhere between 50-100 dollars a day. So thats around 10 bucks an hour, at least. Then if you go on NS for 500 hours (which I know for a fact you have done at LEAST, judging by the way you managed to make at least 100 posts about bringing back skiierman) you would scale for the amount of fun you're having, which for the sake of the argument we will say is around 10% of what skiing gives you. This means it is the equivalent of 50 hours of skiing, which is 500$. If you then go and donate 5$ for these countless hours of entertainment, that seems fair enough to me, don't you think?
