So I just made an edit and the guys I film with and other people have all said they like it but to be honest, I don't. Like the filming was pretty brutal and color was meh. I know I can do a lot better (and have) but I'm just wondering what you guys think.

To embed vids like i just did put the word "video" between the "[" and "]" and then put the link after. Then at the end of the link do the same thing but a "/" slash before the word video

I thought the filming was great overall. I would have liked it to be a bit shorter but none the less pretty good. The only other thing is that your white balance was wack. Too cold for my liking.

i liked it, chill edit, good vibes. the skiing style looked a little forced at the beginning, but then it was good (arm swings, steez, head bang ect.) tbh i really liked it. banger of the segment was at 1:08 lol . but there was some pretty good skiing and stuff, keep it up man

I think your being a little hard on yourself about the edit. Sure the colors were flat at times but you could've fix that in posts. But you were also filming at what looked like sunset a nice bluebird day and then a cloudy day. 2 of which can be hard to work with. (Sunset and cloudy day) there were nice secondary angles and intros to the skiers. The only other thing was that it was shaky at times. Look at the good.
Fyi i watched this on low brightness on my phone so i could be completely wrong about colors and such

I am pretty hard on myself about the filming due to owning a glidecam. Earlier this season I was on point but just that day I had seem to have lost it. I just need a bit of help with color grading and whitebalance. Also settings for my camera depending on the day. (Those sunset shots were shot at around 2:00-2:30 in the after new due to our park on the wrong side of the mountain)

There really wasn't a whole lot that was wrong with it. To find anything that needs improving I have to get really nitpicky.

- Some of the shots were shaky
- Vary your rig choice: would have been nice to see a few different shots other than glidecam stuff (maybe a slider, or a tripod)
- The vast majority of your shots are from the same distance (if that makes any sense) - add some variety with some closer shots, maybe a few farther away shots too.

other than those small things sick edit!

Let me tell ya, I've wanted to other things then just glidecam but I don't own a slider (I have plans for building one but just need to get around to it) and my tripod does not have a fluid head so it would be a non moving shot which imo, kind of bothers me

Never been able to since the memory card I had always said "movie has automatically stopped recording" I searched online and people had said it was the memory card so I very recently went from a 32gb 30mb/s card to a 64gb 90mb/s card so hopefully that fixes it and will allow me to do timelapses. I've never done a video timelapse. Only with pictures

I liked the flow of it all. Two things I think you can work on for next time is having more natural sound, and adjusting your white balance.

The reason the sound was off was because on the sunset day, I had just bought a brand new mic and hadent got my windscreen yet so I used my other oine which is quite a bit bigger and also had the wrong settings so I expected someone to say that.

the first part was filmed in the afternoon right? it looks a little bit dark for me, maybe you could play with color balance and stuff to make it a little lighter and maybe make the colors pop out a little more.
