heitsyBeen itching to get out and skin either the backside of magic mountain (timber ridge) or a trail called Landslide that I've heard about on Mt. Equinox. Waiting for a decent snow before breaking out all of the gear.
Trip out to MT planned for March. Other than that, I'd like to do Big Jay and a few Tucks trips this season.
AHussIf you come to Franconia Notch be sure to give me a holler. I'll be around all winter and I'm looking for a partner in crime to venture up onto Lafayette
Huck_NorrisHey hit me up before you head to Timber Ridge/ Magic and I can hook you up with friends that skin and ride that side all the time. Also bring a water skiing rope w a big carabiner for easy hitch ins from randoms. Lots of sled action over there.
Btw did you know that show 'Building Wild' made a sick jib cabin up on top of Timber Ridge like two years ago? It's fucking sick. Rails all over up there too.
heitsySkinned magic today. The hike up was good and I saw a couple of other skiers out there earning it. Only ended up taking one lap because my skins froze up on the glue side and wouldn't stick to my skis (has this ever happened to anyone else?). I was kinda bummed that we only got around 3 inches out of this storm. I was hoping for more... :/
In any case, I'm glad I got my first tour of the season.
