First backflip

Ok I can backflip on the tramp 10 out of 10 times. When I was learning them I dropped my shoulder and did a backflip it was less scary than strait back. I slowly worked my way to strait back. Now I want to try one on skis. Should I drop my shoulder then backflip because it's less scary and how I learned on the tramp then go straight back or would that be a bad idea? Or should I wait until I go to Utah and build a backcountry jump into some pow and try my flips then?

Just throw it its pretty much the exact same as on a trampoline in terms of rotation but landing might be hard the first couple times

Did my first one last week. I have never done one on a tramp, the night before I did my first one into the pool then went out and built a little jump into wet snow. It took me five tries but felt real good. just huck it, you'll be fine

build a jump with absurd pop and really get pumped up, convince yourself that if you really send it you will make it (you will). i stomped second try.

i stomped mine second try, and my first try i was really close. just send it. if you can backflip on tramp everytime with no hesitation your body will know what to do.

Dont drop your shoulder. It could throw you off completely and cause you to land sidewyas/ switch without you expecting it.

this works great. build a super poppy jump, and it will help you a lot

key 2 its pure commitment ( once you commit, you have to go)
and boom you either came close or landed your first backflip

That first time you huck it, scary shit but even if you do fall you'll feel so relieved that you tried. long as you dont hurt yourself badly.

My first backflip was completely on accident cuz I was sitting on my skis going up the jump and I tried to stand up at the same time I was going up but I didn't know that would be a little harder to stand up than I thought so I went off sitting and just started rotating back and just slammed right on my face it looked sick.
