I get a lot of Tibetan terriers at the grooming salon and they fit what you're looking for. They need to either have their hair kept short or be brushed a lot but they don't shed and they're just overall great dogs.
CaptainObvious.Anything that ends in oodle doesn't shed at all. They grow hair like humans, meaning they require grooming. They're wicked smaht though.
This. Poodles don't shed but do require haircuts on occasion. They are very smart as well. Great dogs.

I'm holding off till the 2016's come out in a few months. Stopped walking my dog a few months ago 'cause I don't wanna be seen with this dated Malamute I've got. The guy at the shop said the dog was cutting edge and would be hip for at least a decade. Fucking salesmen!
