Are my skis messed up?

I got a new pair of k2 recoils and got them mounted two weeks ago and the guy at the ski shop didn't center mount them. i want to bring them back in to the shop and get them re-mounted. Can i mount them a second time since theres already holes in the ski? also who would be at fault, him for not centering a twin tip park ski or me for not requesting it?

I had a pair mounted three times and they still feel like new skis. He should have asked you where you wanted them mounted.

You can't just assume they will mount them center...

If your shop doesn't ask they will mount them at the "suggested" spot on the ski. But remounting a ski won't really hurt it. They will fill the holes with ptex and drill different ones. There is little to no difference in proformance when you re drill.

yea ik but he never even gave me the option and i just assumed he would so i guess we're both kinda at fault

Just because there park skis. He's not gonna know you wanted them center mounted. Some people like them mounted a little back for park too.

No, it's your fault. You handing the skis over is your 'option' (or opportunity if you will) to inform them as to where you want the bindings mounted. If you don't tell the shop where you want them mounted they will use the suggested mount line 100% of the time.

That being said - you typically get three mounts on a ski so try, try again

It is your fault for wrong mounting, but mounting again shouldnt be a problem at all, unless they are mounted really close to center, but in that case, you wouldnt notice it

Yes you can mount them a second time it shouldn't cause any issues. The only problem I could see is if they're already mounted very close to the center because if you drill holes very close together it can causes some weakness in the ski.

How far back are they currently mounted OP?
