for my 1000th post I wanted to make a thread about something MANLY. And what could be more manly than a good old fashioned GRILL.
Now, there are many possible interpretations of the word "grill" so I'll start off with the most obvious:
Everyone loves a nice grill. It's summer time, you're hanging out in the sun, having a cookout with all your m8s, what could be better? However, a disturbing thought crossed my mind. Why is it called "manning" the grill? Does this term carry a sexist connotation as if only MEN are allowed to MAN the grill??? So from now on I'd like to start a movement to create a more gender neutral term, perhaps: manning/womanning/transgendering the grill. That way everyone is happy.
It wouldn't be fair to have a thread about grills without recognizing one of the great voices of our generation, Paul Wall:
I truly believe that Paul Wall has set the standard for what children today should strive to be. He revolutionized the grill game, and for that, we should be forever grateful.
The versatility of the word "grill" does not stop there, it also represents perhaps the most understated and beautiful piece of a car:
It crossed my mind that some of you may have mixed up "grills" with "girls", a very common error. And since this is a MANLY thread, without further adieu:
