Replying to SKI SEASON IN VAL D'ISERE

I'm in my last year of school and am in the process of planning a gap year before uni, hoping to spend a ski season next year (2015/2016) in val d'isere. I've looked all over the internet for advice on where to get jobs, how to go about it etc. but all I get is company advice, essentially advertising noting only positives about why I should work for them, but I've been struggling to find any personal accounts about doing a season in Val D'isere, with pros and cons of different jobs etc. I've got a year to get any experience that might help with getting jobs, I can speak fluent french, and obviously I'm a very keen skier (if that helps in giving me advice)

anyone previously done a season in val? or knows someone or somewhere to direct me to for help?
