pathetic stoners...

I've been thinking a little bit about the attitudes towards weed smokers lately. A lot of people consider people who smoke everyday to be pathetic or low-lifes or whatever. But how is smoking weed everyday different than skiing everyday, or skating everyday? it's another hobby somebody likes. Some people like it a lot and like to do it everyday. How is this pathetic? Even if all they think about is weed. Let me compare this. If all someone thinks about is skiing, draw pictures in class of skiers, talk about it, the whole bi, they are seen as passionate. Why is it that stoners are called pathetic when they do the same thing, only for a different activity?
But what do I know? I'm just a skeevy stoner.

i smoke weed 3-5 times a week. i'm a high honor student and a varisty soccer player. weed is about as harmless as sugar. its not addicting but you love it and its not really good for you but it won't kill you.

most of my friends here at the university of guelph blaze 2 or 3 times a day. and its not like were all arts students or nuthin. im in engineering, and most of the other kids are in commerce. we arent exactly loosers or nething. smoking weed is what you make of it. i mean, some people use it as an outlet to make thier laziness and pitiful lives seem more worthwhile. but really its about as harmless as cookies. its fun when your doing it, and you arent addicted to it, you just want it. i mean there is obviously a time and a place for everything, but i think theres always a time and a place for weed because it makes the mundain bearable.
You gotta want that cow bell.

Whoever said that what u feel it's not real ,an illusion, obviously doesn't understand what pot is all about.
My theory is that weed is here as a nice, good relief, which can make u laugh ur ass off and forget shit that happens. I like it, and I'd love to tell everyone! But then, ther's those fags that come to me and say: wow, you're stoned, therefore, you're a looser. Fuck off, biatches, and let me keep walking around this same old path I am walking since I was about.... 15?

I've watched at least 3 friends become daily smokers and i have watched 3 friends become aquaintances. They slowly were not able to engage in the intellectual conversations with me that they used to. Everything had to be either visually or acoustically stimulating and not mentally stimulating. They were twice as lazy, and twice as slow moving, both physically and mentally. Drugs change people, thats for sure. If you think weed doesnt change you long term, maybe you dont have strong enough stuff. Some of them you cant even tell when they are high anymore. Its happening right now with my roomate and its the last straw. I dont smoke anymore.

Fair enough. I think that moderate use can leave people unchanged. I know lots of people that exist that way, and thats coold. But to go from rarely, to everyday, completely changed those people.

Rather than smoking everyday, which i do, it's more about the amount you smoke every day. That's what i believe.

I still have intelectual conversations, actually, cause of weed, I read more and reflect and examine life more as well. Its kind of like weed made me more philosophical as well as outgoing. But my vocab and gammer is shit, but it always has.

yea with some kids it gets to be real big deal, and it changes them completely. But with me, when I have some herbal, I smoke like 3-4 times a week, and Im an honors student and my grades have only been consistanly improving. I dont 'need' to smoke, just something that is nice to do sometimes.
