CheddarJackJust use a pole mount and learn to keep it steady.
Free306skierif you do this , put the gopro on upside-down mode and then film with it upside down. easier to keep it steady
Free306skierListen to him ^ i just heard what i said somewhere and it made some sense. Plus he has filmed a ton more with gopro. I think pole mount is the way to go, with some chest mount in there too
Michael_ThatcherIt usually works better to hold it upright with a pole mount because it's easier to minimize the rotation of your wrist when you hold the camera upright. This will reduce the sway in your footage. Filming upright also means you don't have to rotate the footage in post or turn on the upside down mode on the GoPro.
It also helps to hold the camera with 2 hands and focus on filming the entire space around the rider instead of always directly pointing the camera at him. This will makes your shots more fluid, dynamic, and stable because you will allow the rider to travel through the shot, instead of always having him in the center.
nutz.check the firmware update next month ;) won't have to rotate anymore!
