I spin left, and therefore always fall left. The first thing to hit the ground every time is my hip so it is constantly bruised and swollen. Does this happen to anyone else? Should I get pads or something?
I did something to a tendon in my hip a couple weeks ago. I've aggreavated it several times since, and the result is a large, sore, partially calcified, hematoma. It jiggles when I poke it. I'm considering getting pads.
pads don't sound like a bad idea. landing on your hip over and over hurts a lot. I had to sit out a day of skiing during the break because i could barely walk from landing on my hip over and over from trying new spins. I could have skied that day if I was wearing pads before...
Happend to me when learning to spin on boxes/rails and i always fell right on my hip for a solid two days and had a huge purple bruise for about 3 months haha
I feel you OP, I somehow always fuck up my hips (or sometimes knees), usually on rails. One time I had a really gnarly bruise on my hip, and I couldn't even sleep on that side.
I just recently learned 3s and I fell on my left and right sides so much so I've slept on my stomach the past 4 days because it's just too painful to try and sleep on my side
Last year I fell and went straight to right under my left ass cheek/hip on an urban handrail and holyyyyy fuck. It was in Feb, and took until around May to be able to sit evenly on both sides of my legs/ass. It was a minor hematoma, like wasn't all jiggly and yellow even though it stayed purple for a good month and a half. Chairlifts sucked balls and luckily I don't sleep on that side so I was fine in bed.
