Do you smoke before you hit up the park

I have never skied not high so I wonder if I try to hit the park not high maybe I can get nice cuz I don't seem to be getting any better.

GaryColemanBasically always smoke and drink on the mountain, only time it fucked me up i took too many dabs and went for a backie on a 60ft booter. Somehow forgot to pop, at that point im flying through the air just looking at the sky and i realize its not gonna come around, managed to flail myself around and land on my back instead of my neck. Surprisingly didnt hurt too bad at all, probably because i was baked.

on slope dabs make you a dumber skier. However, if you are already good, you will only become a better skier. Smart skiers don't get hurt, or get the shots they want, and don't go pro. Dumb skiers go pro all the time, because they don't run as much threat assessment. Like Mitchell Bowers triple fence gap to rail. That shit was straight dummmmmmmb. Like thats an insane amount of senselessness. Dare I say, Dab Senselessness? Either way, look. Now that kids in a pro movie. Baaaaaaaaam!!!!

MinggI unbind the wrong foot and start pushing fucking mongo on a snowboard which is super hard to do, but I did it anyways.


Laughed way too hard at this thank you.

For me, it depends on the day and how I'm feeling. I don't think being high affects my skiing that much but it definitely affects my perception of the environment, so for example I would look at jumps and rails differently and would imagine new lines and tricks that otherwise I would never think of doing.

Also I can definitely do trick smoother while high.

I really can't do shit when I'm stoned. unless I just have 1 bowl. Also shrooms or speed while skiing is very crazy but i stay away from the park when I'm on that shit

I prefer to be sober when I ride park. Some tricks require the extra courage the weed takes away. In big mountain, I love to toke up before a descent. It puts me more in the moment and I can focus on getting as much as I can out of it.

Almost never ski sober. One of my fav parts of skiing is finding cool spots in the woods for safety meetings with the homies

When I'm touring, I never smoke til I'm boutta drop or even out of a dangerous zone. I don't trust my baked self not to do something stupid and the risk is just way to high in avalanche conditions. For all mountain, I'll get absolutely ripped, and somehow don't get tired til I come down, so I'll usually toke again after lunch. I remember when I was maybe 15 or 16, and it was like my second time smoking, I got absolutely baked out of my mind and tried to ski park. Ended up absolutely mobbing full speed through the park like I was being chased, and sent every jump to the bottom (not the cool way). Luckily the big park wasn't open yet cause I would have fucking died. Did my first disaster that day too. These days, I usually just smoke a bowl in the morning or not at all and I'm fine for park. Pow while high is absolutely euphoric and I would recommend.

A question I have for NS: Does ski patrol care about smoking where you guys ski?

A lot of ski areas are in national forest, meaning it falls under federal jurisdiction, but its not like the DEA is posted up at Vail. I'm usually discrete about it and only use an extract pen on the lift which doesn't really smell and people just think you're vaping nic or something.

It's actually pretty common for resorts in Colorado to have ski patrol or other mountain employees lead federal agents around hut to hut to bust people. They have guns and badges and everything, if they don't catch you with weed (like if your buddy is holding) they can still write you a ticket for inhabiting an illegal structure.

National forest or not, no matter what state you are in you are still violating federal law by possessing marijuana. It really comes down to fact that the feds are not directing resources to enforce those federal laws in states that have legalized marijuana for recreational or medicinal purposes... at least for now
