Recommend me a new book

I need something new to read, recommend me some books. My favorites from the past have been fear and loathing, the catcher in the rye, unbroken, all the david baldacci books, and the boy who sailed around the world alone.

I was thinking of reading the rum diary or lost in shangri-la next but I want some suggestions.

DockEllisIf you read Into Thin Air you also have to read The Clymb. More of a factual representation of that Everest mission that kind of calls out Krakauer for being a huge bitch and a fraud.


I've been wanting to read that one.

There's a few more on the '96 Everest tragedy that should be listed.

- Climbing High by Lene Gammelgaard

- The Other Side of Everest by Matt Dickinson (also read this one, really good)

- Left for Dead by Beck Weathers

The sad part is it is, I tend to get kind of dyslexic when typing on my phone. The even sadder part is in my opinion that post was one of my more legible ones

If you want other entertaining, quick reads, check out Clive Cussler. Every book has the same ludicrous plot, but they are a good time.


I love Clive Cussler. I just finished reading Atlantis Found and it was badass. Something somewhat similar but a little different and equally exciting is "Sigma Protocol" by Robert Ludlum, which I read a couple years ago. Definitely worth checking out if you're into those type of books.

That book pleasantly surprised me. I didn't expect much when I bought it, but it ended up being great in the end. Definitely underrated.

read the book. the dude went through a ton of shit as a navy seal in a mission gone wrong and hes a fucking motivational speaker now. i might have said that in a way that it sounded kind of retarded but what i meant was its a really cool book that both shows what the SEALs are going through and also how to fight through fucking anything

the red rising trilogy by pierce brown is awesome if you like sci-fi stuff. sort of like a hunger games esque story but from a male character's perspective, set in space in the future. really addicting books. the first two are out now, and the last one comes out in february i believe
