New Skiing Trend - White Out

love doing this to people, will post next time i go skiing

don't do it to people you don't know. no need to make your day better at the expense of others.


That said, i was at Crystal yesterday and there is a choke point on the only groomer in this one drainage. this choke is about 15-20 yards wide, 50 yards long, crusty hardpack, and is moguled out. I popped out on this groomer on my way back to the lift, and stopped above the choke to let it clear out so i could rip through/air over it. I waited about 30 seconds but it wasnt clearing out. Then i noticed why- two chuckleheads on snowshoes were very unsuccessfully trying to downclimb through the dead center of this, and in the process creating a huge traffic jam.

When i saw this, i skied straight down to them and did a super hard slash-mogul turn that took the top off the mogul right next to them. they got blasted by refrozen crud and general snow spray. Hopefully they got the message that what they were doing was extremely dangerous to themselves and others, and they needed to GTFO of there immediately.

yea this isn't a new trend. I make a pt to spray at least a few gapers every time I go up on the hill

i'll add on to this: my friends and i recently discovered that you can ball snow up into a sphere and throw it at people! it's hilarious. we call them "snow spheres"

a weird new trend at my resort is that people are gluing skis together and riding them like a skateboard they are calling it snouw boreding i believe
