Day and night edits?

Just curious to hear what people think of having daytime and night time shots in an edit. Is it a big no go, or is it something to be played with?
I'd love to hear opinions and reccomendations on how to mix day and night shots.

if they are just shots of tricks i dont like it, feels disjointed and doesnt flow

if there is some form of transition - b roll of driving to a new spot, or setting up something etc then it can work

just my opinion though
