My friend did, what he unofficially called a "mute slide". It was one footed and he pulled his left ski up and grabbed it with his right hand. even though the grab was only for like a second, it honostly looked pretty good. In my opinion, 95% of the time one-footers look pretty gay, but i have seen a couple that look good. i think if you work at them a while you can tweak and steez them out with body position a little, and they look better. Not to mention anybody who is not a core freeskier thinks one-footers are hardcore, so maybe they're good for the overall sport, as in the way it's viewed from the outside.

if you like the looks of onefooters and are looking for a fun filled technical trick, by all means, do them.

rollerblading has a style that only rollerbladers will like for the most part. like if you watch a pro movie and a skier watches it hell say the style is terrible cause its so different. they use their arms. we keep our arms down. but if your a rollerblader then youll like the style cause your used to it

^rollerblading changed long ago...rollerblading style isnt suppose to be like skiiing. so someone that skis might say its ugly cause they are used to skiiing. just like when i watch skateboarding i thinik its retarded looking and terrible style cause i dont skateboard. so obviously if you dont rollerblade its not gonna look that good to you

I see what you're getting at, but I still disagree to a point.

Here's what I really think it is... go to a skate park, you see 10 skateboarders and 1 rollerblader... each sport has the same talent pool ... like 1 in 10 are good, and maybe 2 or 3 others are ok and have a trick or two... if you look at it like that you almost always see at least one good skater if you're at a park with 10 skaters ... But you'd have to go to the same park 10 times just to see a good inliner Once so it makes it seem like inlining has no style because you see a junk show 9 out of 10 times. All the crappy skateboarders at the park that hop on a 6 inch high rail at the last 12 inches and don't even land back on their boards you never really even pay attention to ... see what Im sayin

when you see that 1 out of every 10 inliners it looks good to just about everybody. Its just that you only see guys like that 10% of the time you're at the park, almost everytime you go to a park with at least 10 riders you'll see one good skateboarder.

inline still needs a bit of change though, it's like they're all flaggin in ships and planes with their arms, i dont' care who's lookin at that, that just says to anyone in freestyle anything that your shit needs work.

Im also gonna do everyone a favour, more regarding the topic of this thread, try sliding your one footers with your LEAD leg, I notice it really forces you to get low and attack the rail ... it doesn't have that balerina balancing act that sliding with your back leg often does, thats the style people are hating on gagnier for (this can be cured also usually by just grabbing your lead foot with the lead hand. it gets you in a good position and takes care of at least one wavering arm)

I think when talking about one footers you guys should be more specific as to which one you are talking about. I think 50 50s are fine, and can be done without flailing and with your arms neatly tucked in or what have you. It just takes some time to learn how to do so.
