So, theres a pair of boots on ebay for £5 and I know people are going to say to go to a boot fitter. I was just wondering if 70 flex is too low? I weigh 110 pounds skiing park and pow.
Boots for 5 bucks/quid/euros are probably not going to be the best thing for you, but for 5 bucks/quid/euros.... why not? 70 flex is generally not bad for someone 110 pounds, but there are some stiff 70s out there (like 70 flex jr race boots tend to be stiffer than normal 70 flex boots).
With that said however, I would generally point out that no deal is ever a good deal if it is the wrong boot for you. Chances are you have not been fit for this particular boot, that means there is a high chance that (while it may feel good upon first putting it on) it could cause some serious headaches and pain down the road. And if this boot does end up being the wrong thing for you, chances are you will have to remount/adjust your bindings once you get the right boots, which adds further costs into the equation.
What you could do, since they are only 5 quid, is buy them and take them to a shop for a fit assessment. Many reputable shops do this and charge a slight fee, but it will still be way cheaper than buying a new boot. Who knows... you might get lucky, but just remember the odds are not in your favor.
