Bunged up My Edge

Alright well I was skiing today and hit a rock. It seems that it ripped out the edge a bit....but I'm confused because the base seems to have broken instead of the actual edge.

Pics....














Any help on fixing this? I would really appreciate it.

I would carefully take a hammer and hit the edge back into position. Then fill any gaps around the edge with epoxy. If you have the capability it would be good to grind that crack out of the base with a dremel and then fill the area back in with PTEX.

You compressed the base, which flattened, cracked, and pushed the edge out. Its may come back with some slight taps of the hammer, but that bump in the edge along the sidecut will be noticeable when skiing I'll bet. Worst case, bring it into the shop and they can run that spot over the edger a few times to plane down the bump by thinning the edge.

The rock regretted the day it was formed....

And so if i shot some epoxy in the crack, then tapped it back into place, and ground off the excess epoxy and pieced any other holes it would be decent?

I could also detune the shit out the edge.
