3 Days in Jackson Hole

I know this belongs in Regionals, but i posted and im not getting any feedback so I'm coming to Ski Gabber.

Planning my first trip to Jackson for early February with a buddy of mine. We are coming from the Midwest fyi. Need some help here:



We are there 3 days. We are torn on what to do. Part of me thinks we will need all 3 days to ski the mountain. My buddy (And the other part of me) wants to go snowmobiling for one day. What do you guys recommend, and if its snowmobiling, who is a good company?
Also, will they let you bring your skis? Part of me wants to snowmobile and fine some mellow lines in the backcountry (although, I dont have any avy gear, so I'm assuming this is a "no, you're an idiot for even considering it" answer im going to get).

My buddy is renting: Demo rentals vs. High Performance? Which is better?

Just trying to get the most out of three full days there. Wish we had more time.

Ive been on 2 trips to JH where we were there for 3 days. We skied all 3. They get so many pow days its ridiculous. Just stay in the resort unless you really wanna go sledding. And I think sometime in February is powder week there, can't remember what week tho. But if you go then, the rentals/demos they have are sick!

Youre not gonna get to ski on your sled trip. Save the $200ish bucks and spend it on booze/food/bud

you want to go with DEMO rentals. Go with Door 2 Door rentals, they have a demo tent at the base of the village so you can swap out skis a bunch if you want. Nice thing is there are no lines and families all around waiting to get fitted for rentals with D2D.

You could also check out Grand Targhee while you're out there. It's just a bit outside of Jackson Hole and it's a pretty good mountain- a bit smaller than JH but less crowded.
