How to prevent goggle gap?

So just like most everyone else on here, I wear my goggles under my helmet. I have my helmet straps pretty tight under my chin, but I find whenever I am going moderately fast my helmet will blow back on my head and it results in a goggle gap. It usually doesn't move too much, like 1/2"-1" maybe, but it's annoying to constantly get that gap between my goggles and helmet and then always pushing my helmet back down towards my goggles.

Is there anything specific you guys do to prevent this from happening or do you all just deal with it and keep pushing your helmet back down while you ski?


*I originally tried to search bar this topic, but I couldn't really find anything that addressed it. If there is a thread out there about this, please share it and my bad for the repost.*

Stop wearing stuff (goggles included) under your helmet. Problem solved.

That's actually a really good idea. The beanie I have is really thin and old, so I guess it's time for a new one.

Your helmet doesn't fit. Get a better fitting helmet. Maybe even grget one that us adjustable

My helmet does not move on my head at all, ever. It sounds like your helmet is too big.

On my helmet there is a dial on the back that is used to tighten. If you don't have that then maybe you could wear your goggles over your helmet.

just like the one ring, the goggle gap cannot be destroyed. If it keeps appearing do not attempt to rid yourself of it, it will only get worse.

I do not have an adjustable helmet either, and I have the problem too at high speeds. I put my hood up over the helmet and that completely stops it from moving.

The gap will stop appearing only when you are no longer a gaper.

Yeah you should get an adjustable one, but your helmet may move if it's tight mine does.

Yeah I have an old Smith Maze helmet that I got from my brother and isn't adjustable. I guess if a thicker beanie doesn't work it's time to actually buy a helmet.

op this is urgent if you keep getting goggle gap YOU MAY DIE you need to buy different goggles quick before its too late and keep buying them until you fix the problem probably a different helmet too if its infected
