in vermont I've heard them called joeys as in "(new) jersey joeys". probably evolved from that

My personal lingo

Gaper= Skiing

Joey= Mtn Biking

Kook= Surfing

Jerry= never heard it before "Jerry of the day" but it sounds like its derived from the Joey
