ilikefoodMy original thought was that it depended on what kind of skiing you are doing, sort of like surfing where smaller guys like Kelly Slater (160lbs 5'9) have a ton of success tearing up and tricking smaller waves while guys like Laird Hamilton at 6'3 215lbs have greater success surviving the repercussions of big wave surfing.
Lol I love that I'm 120lbs when surfing. I get away with small board and still out paddle people on much bigger boards. I can't wait till summer. I have a longboard now, so all the waves shall be mine. And I fit into barrels cause I'm barely 5'5".
I agree with it mattering more about your fitness. Although I feel like if I was like 6'2" or super tall skiing would be sort of awkward, but I've never been that tall, obviously. So that's all conjecture. Plus side is I have no issues finding skis. Who doesn't make a 165-170 cm park ski?
Kelly slater is also not human and can surf anything. All those dudes are amazing shape though. Bigger dudes like Jordy Smith might be at a disadvantage in smaller surf, but they always have to much power and weight to throw around.
