A shop isn't going to replace edges..and if they do try to they will almost certainly all out right away. You're better off just skiing without the edge.
nah man, edges aren't supposed to rip out like that. Bring the skis back and DEMAND a refund or at least replacement skis. Shops try to screw people over like that but a ski shouldn't do that, ever. Its almost as big of a scam as top sheet chipping.
you just started down a slippery road my friend, i started out just like you. Maybe missing some edge here and there, but now, its too far, 8+ inches on both sides of each ski...get new skis while you still can or become me
Torch where it ripped out just enough to its gooey and sharp able, take a ptex candle and put ptex it the area and then clamp it with a piece of plastic on between the ski and the clamp. That's what I did and my skis are skiing as well as before and nothing is ripping off
