.Hugo.First off, dont ask the house. They didnt even have skiing shit until maybe 3 years ago and dont know shit about it. Masterminds are nothing close to advanced pro skis and all camber does not mean theyre expert skis.
As for skis i love my line chronics and they have held up nice and have a mid flex. Atomic punx or infamous, any k2 park ski, nordica badmind and more are all good for beginners.
Are you gonna be doing mostly rails or jumps, how big of jumps? Height and weight? Want something soft or stiff?
rtl32Do not get masterminds, period. I'd recommend chronics like the guy above me said, or volkl ledges if you want something that will ski outside the park (albeit nowhere near as well as a frontside/race ski).
@ Hugo Yeah...The House wasn't to responsive when I was asking them questions through e-mail compared to EVO.com. Evo was with the quickness so I liked that, but good looking out man. I'm going to be doing rails boxes and jumps. Not crazy jumps though. More like beginner jumps to intermediate or in between the two. I'm 27 trying to be young at heart 5'6 and around 150lbs. For stiffness I'd like something in the middle. LMK bro thanks.
@ rtl32 I looked into the masterminds more thoroughly through the forums and dammmmmm people are just shitting on em bad. Some dude was like when i take a shit and look into the toilet i see masterminds LMAO ROFL i'm like dammmm burrrrnnnned hahaha. But yeah it was on my list but i felt a little sketchy about em. Almost like a gut feeling to stay away from them even though the description was well laid out for me. I did do some research on the chronics. I was totally blinded about "park skis" until u reminded me, that I also like to bomb it down the mountain and race my boys. Chronics seems to be the skis for me like 90-95% for the fact that its what I'm looking for when people talk about it and when I read and watch video descriptions on em. That 5-10% of feeling unsure is because I may not like how it feels or not like em or just straight up a waste of my hard earned money. Good looking out though with the all mountain feature to this. And yeah man MOUNTAIN CREEK!!! lol Thatd be the closest to NYC so i mostly rip it down there.
I'm really leaning towards the Line Chronic 15 (unless the previous models is just as good i dont mind copping em. I just figured the latest and greatest..ya dig?)
The others that was on my list was the Line Future Spin, Armada El Rey & AR7. If anyone has anything else I'm all ears. But I'm really feeling the Chronics.
