Softshell Jackets?

I'm looking to buy a new jacket for warmer days, without lots of insulation etc. I don't want a tech hoodie but there are a few 10k/10k softshell jackets, and baggy, not gaper/skier dad style. Are they good?

I posted a similar thread a couple of months ago and ended up getting last years' Bloom jacket. The guys from Bloom helped me out with it and it ended up being exactly what I was looking for. It's just a shell so it has no insulation and it fits pretty well. They are also only $150 right now so the price was perfect for me because I didn't want to spend a lot.
