I feel like everything is fake now. Real emotion has been gone for years.

When we need to feel good we just pass around a bunch of these videos on facebook then everyone continues on being assholes.

Idk, it just weirds me out.

Even those talent shows. It's more about the persons back story than whatever they do. They say some sad stuff and then they cue the inspirational music and "omg its so beautiful"

It's all down to Internet marketing, people attempt to lure people to their sites with catchy titles / cliffhangers but in reality their content is utter bullshit. Also known as 'click baiting'. Just another way people are trying to make money off the masses.

Everything is like that. I blame buzzfeed. Basically it's you won't believe what happens when ____ ____s or something along those lines. Or "________ does _____ with ____. You'll never guess what happens next.

there definitely are some decent people out there, but they are few and far between. usually the older ones. i have yet to meet a sweet, kind, gentle 20 something year old street kid.

but let me tell you a story about my run in with a retired war vet.

alright, there's no time. and i don't have the patience for it. suffice to say when i was abandoned by my friends being hammered at the bar and left wandering the streets after being kicked out, this epic legless man in a wheelchair came to my rescue. he gave me some of his water, talked to me for a while as i laid down, half covered in puke, and head rolling like it was too heavy for my neck muscles.

made me think a little differently. i dont really remember the night, but i remember being alone and in a ditch, and i remember him telling me his story, and being so genuine in trying to help get me back up and back home..

When people make a video like this, it's either to show that homeless people spend their money on drugs and alcohol or to show that homeless people deserve more help. Very few, if any, people make a video like this with the intent of actually finding out how homeless people spend their money.

It seems really contrived to me that he would go to a liquor store to buy food. Also, the idea that somebody would give away money which they beg for is incredibly far-fetched.
