Knowing this, we know it would be a pretty big anomaly if some of those pro's you see in da movies and X-games arent doin it with the same gender?
All I can do is ask, and hope.

life_is_hoodunresolved sexual tension between Cam and Clayton
RevolverASlutSo its official? Cam is dating clayton vila dammn
lukemeahan.who the fuck cares
john18061806the eyecandy in the op was uncalled for. it's just too much to handle.
dyyylanI'd love to have an LGBT pro skier to look up to.
dyyylanIt's good for there to be role models that different demographics can relate to. I'd love to have an LGBT pro skier to look up to.
bighomieflockYeah but sexual orientation is so irrelevant in skiing.
john18061806It isn't when someone who is struggling with other people being assholes to them in high school for being LGBT uses skiing as an outlet. Then they have someone to look up to that went through the same things that they are going through.
bighomieflockEhh I disagree. When you're skiing personal details matter so little. No one on the mountain is trying to determine sexual orientation when they see someone in the park. They're watching to what tricks are being thrown and how stylish they are. In that way, skiing is an escape: people are watching how hard you shred regardless of what goes on in your personal life.
panojibber. It'd be a big deal if a pro came out because they would basically be saying "hey, you have a place in this culture just like anyone else, its cool".
panojibber. While that's completely true, there is also a community and a culture surrounding freeskiing that is pretty essential to participating in the sport. It'd be a big deal if a pro came out because they would basically be saying "hey, you have a place in this culture just like anyone else, its cool".
bighomieflockYeah but sexual orientation is so irrelevant in skiing. Why do you have to look up to skiers based on details of their personal life and not the quality and style of their skiing or even the personality they portray in their edits?
JAHBRADORGus Kenworthy
jfpElias ambuhl was acting interesting at a party a few winters back.cant confirm it but he certainly portrayed it.
theabortionatorI don't think anyone should get a fucking trophy for being a gay skier, but you don't seem to grasp what a role model is.
[hank]I guess skiing used to be (and sometimes still is) a pretty lgbt shaming/vocabulary debilitated community.
bighomieflockAlright, I can respect that. I guess I don't really view pro skiers as social role models in general. Edits rarely show aspects of social life other than a bunch of dudes hanging out for the purpose of skiing.
The lack of openly LGBT pros probably has to do with the demographic of skiing in general, while we are mostly nice people, rich white folks aren't exactly the most open minded group.
little_1337I believe op is
joriza.skiif you're good at skiing, I don't care if you're gay, straight, or overweight (The Office joke). but seriously let your skiing speak for itself
bighomieflockYeah but sexual orientation is so irrelevant in skiing.
life_is_hoodWould say any of the Comp-Bot 1800's (Goepper, Gus, etc) but robots are incapable of showing emotion, esp. love so that's a no.
That being said there are some unreal bromances in skiing, especially film crews (Inspired, unresolved sexual tension between Cam and Clayton)
SteezySmith57Hold on. Am I the only one who think gus kenworthy actually has style? Yeah he is super clean but I think his cleanliness comes with style. He's really powerful when he skis I think, Idk maybe I'm retarded.
