whats so great about them..i mean seriously.
All they do is destroy your edges and base while you look kinda cool, wheras you could insteadbe boosting off a kicker instead, or just shredding it up....

yes, i cant do a rail \. am i just frustrated? yes.

im not contesting that ^ its just that it really ruins your skis though...thats what i find frustrating...oh, and the fact that i suck at them...

and yeah, i do have jibculture as my icon, but thats cuz i support them because they are fuckin awesome.

personnaly I think sliding a rail is really fun, the feeling of grinding the rail under your boot is hella cool
spining in and out is another fun thing
and tail/nose slide is just weird
it's challenging too
I know it kills the edges but it's so entertaining that you don't think about your skis

its only right under your boot where your edges get fucked. the edges at the tips and tails of your skis are more important so as long as you keep those legit you're fine.

i just started rails this year... i love them. you you can do them in shitty weather and shitty snow, and just the feeling of greasing a whole rail is fucking sweet, for me anyways.

when you first start doing rails your edges may get pretty beat...but when you learn to get on them smooth your edges wont get messed to much

If u grind really aggressively theyll cut into ur bases, but i think if u do rails right and flat it shouldnt do too much, ive been grinding all season and it hasnt made any scratches yet.

I'll tell you why rails are great. You can do them anywhere, and you don't need much snow, sometimes none at all. Here in Atlanta, I can actually think about skiing here, and how sick it would be to jib that double kink near my house. Rails allow me to do some type of skiing in my backyard. I don't have the snow/weather/money/space to build a jumps, so I have to build a little rail to train on. Rails are great, and I'm not even that good at them.
I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.
