Boots for wide feet and big calves ? Full tilt booters?

So I need some good responsive park boots man. My salomon whatever flexible butter boots are a size too big and are wayyyy to soft. So it's starting to bother me and cause problems. So. I'm looking into new boots.

I tried some Dalbellos and some ft booters which were my favorite with the flex and footbed. But I'm wondering what else I should try and what you guys think of booters? I hear sometimes that ft is overrated so that's why idk if I should get those

I do think spks and ghosts are good boots but I can't try those so I don't think I can get those. Plus my budget is around 300

op, save yourself money in the long run, and go to a GOOD bootfitter and have him fit you in the boot you need. booters are pretty soft too. i would just highly recommend going to your good local fitter and getting a boot that fits well, rather than spending more money on another pair of boots down the road because the booters hurt your feet

Dalbello voodoos. They're flexy and super comfy. Blackout looks pretty sweet too. I wear 14 in regular shoes and have really big calves. Only park boot I could get to fit. I couldn't even get in ft's.

I have wide feet, and went to a boot fitter. He told me no full tilts, not even the booter will actually be comfortable for wider feet. I got some Atomic boots in 90 flex and I have no complaints

How flexible are the booters? I mean they can't be that bad and worse than my current flex 60 boots. Also couldn't I get the stiffer tongue if needed

OP if you actually want a boot that works for you, don't fixated on a brand but instead do what everyone is saying and go to a boot-fitter. It is his job to find you the right boot within your budget. Do not ask for a park boot, do not ask for a brand. Ask for the best option for your footshape and price range. Do that and you will have happy feet. Don't do that, and there is a high chance that you won't have happy feet.

Do this. And if booters happen to fit the best, then you can buy stiffer tongues. But get fitted first. And maybe try getting fitted blindfolded, because you seem pretty set on full tilts.

That's the thing, I'm not set on full tilts. All I know is at my shop I asked for recommended boots and the booters were my favorite. And it was one of the only boots in my price range too. The reason I ask here is to maybe hear from someone who owns them and see if they're ok because I don't wanna just buy full tilts because "everyone does".
When I'm back home I'll get fitted ,I know that's what I need. I just wanted to hear from some members of the community yo

I know exactly how you feel. I needed new boots this year as well. I tried on quite a few boots. A pair of atomics fit me the best, but man were they expensive. I tried on a pair of full tilts and the fit the second best behing the atomics, but I could afford them since they were last years model. So I got them. I almsot feel guilty for getting full tilts cause I feel like I'm on the "full tilt bandwagon" but I'm not. So I know how you feel. Just from your comments it seems like you are leaning towards them, but it also sounds like you're in my same situation, so I completly understand. If they fit the best and are in your price range, go for it. But maybe see if you can try on a few more boots just to make sure, and maybe try doing that with a blindfold on.

Yeah you've got how I feel. I don't wanna look like I'm the full tilt bandwagon but At the same time if they're good I'll take them. Also though since I hear now you have full titls, I wanna ask, how good is the heat moldable liners and does it make a difference ? I'm pretty sure not all boots have that

One thing to consider is how the boots feel in the shop when you first try them actually tells you very little. The boot fitter asses the fit based off the shell not how you feel standing in them. A good fitter can recomend an apropriate boot without having you even try them on. So don't worry so much how they feel make sure the shell fits well. As for heat mould liners nearly all decent level boots have them now and some brands like atomic an salomon even offer heat mould shells which can make fittin very easy.

My my recomendation would e to go sir down with a good fitter and have him shell check some boots and advise you what could work and what fitting you will need.

i went to the boot fitter and tried on i think maybe 12 different boots. the only park boots were a ft booter, ft TW, dalbello something, and a nordica ace of spade or whatever. i tried and tried all kinds but in the end the booter worked best for me. i tried to avoid it and i kinda didnt want to as it was more expensive, but in the end even if im on the bandwagon, i dont care. they are awesome. my fitter even said the booter worked really well for me. so. ye

Just a heads up but no real fitter would ever shell check you in 12 boots. The usual is about 2-3. If he is just trying you in everything he perhaps does not know too much about the shape of boots. But still hopefully the booter will work. What fottimg did you get done?

they did measuring and stuff and asked me what i wanted from the boot and etc. talked to me about each boot. i went from alot of standard boots to some park boots to some other boots and so on. tried different brands and different models

So what last of boots and what volume were you trying. The fitter should have worked out whic volume you need and then selected two or three of te most suitable boots. It's pointless just trying everything
