How did you find out that Santa isn't real?

i realized my dad's handwriting was the same as santa's handwriting

I was like 13. not kidding. we just pressured my parents and wouldn't stop bugging them until they told us the truth. Then we cried and cried and cried when my parents caved.

*SBCmingg*I was like 7 and I was trying to figure out how the reindeer flew if they didn't have wings. I asked my mom and dad and they didn't give me a good answer. So I used the Internet to try to find out. I don't remember what came up exactly but it essentially said Santa wasn't real. So I printed out the page and confronted my parents haha. I got extra gifts that year, it was great.

this is probably why i found out at such an old age. i didn't have the internet until i was like 14.

My crazy fat french aunt just straight up told me i guess as a power trip over my parents, but they always had such sneaky ways of getting presents under the tree when we weren't even home that I kept believing for a few years. We would always go away for christmas as a family and come back a couple days later to presents under the tree, and when we left all together there was nothing, so we couldn't figure it out. Turns out my dad would get all pissed off as we were leaving the driveway and yell at my mom for forgetting something of his and then he would run back in the house, plant all the presents, and come back all steamed. It totally fooled us

Haha, nice. We had white carpet that my mom loved to keep as clean as possible and one year she took muddy boots and tracked them through the house, outside, and up the siding (we didn't have a chimney). Then left a note from Santa apologizing to my mom for the mess.
