Could anyone that has skied either the Mad Trix Mogul or the K2 Mamba share thier experiences. I am trying to decide which ski to purchase for a Mogul only ski...thanks

if you can get your hands on the k2 lava lamps def those if not k2 mamba or scratch fs mogul..the mad trix might be a little heavy?

I can't get the Lava Lamps...i actually just bought a pair for my friend...they are 60 bucks more though and I don't have it..as far as weight...you should here what binding I am going to use...lol...but I only have so much money....that is why I am buying cheap two year old 'new' skis...someday i will have a better set up but until then....anyhow another issue is I am 5'11'' 170lbs and the Mambas are 180cm and the Heads or 171 or 181 whichever one I want

id still say mambas..i like a little longer int he bumps-you may not but id say you could do 180 but if you dont feel you could handle that see if the scratch mogul ones come in 170's

I am going with the 180 mambas I think...I ski a 177 now...3 cm is nothing...i think a 171 would feel really small

I have a pair of mad trix and dont have any major complaints
They are a little heavy, but nothing a couple hours in the gym weight training wont fix, otherwise they feel great@

I have a pair of Mad Trix Moguls, they're one of the skinniest bump skis you can get, and they're extremely lightweight. They're almost too fast edge to edge. So, I just bought a pair of Twister's and am selling my Mad Trix Moguls. My brother loves his, though.

ok, you need to bring reasoning back into your head^. when people ski moguls, you want a different ski than you would for park. if you are going to alaska, you wouldnt take a xc skate ski. same in the moguls. people who are serious about mogul skiing should get a pair of mogul skis. i ski mostly park/all mtn, but next year i am gettign a pair of mogul skis for comps and mogul training. park skis are meant for park, not the bumps. a bump ski is constructed for bumps, so it will handle better and be more fun

I ended up getting a cheap pair of Mamba's and I put some 12 din tyrols on them. I went with the cheaper ones so that next year I can pick up some twisters which is what I REALLY want. And to that Rossi guy that said not to ski bumps becuase they are gay or whatever...I bet you never put together a sweet bump run in your entire life. There is nothing like flying down the bumps and putting together a perfect run. If you can ski bumps you can ski anything. I would rather be a good skier and be able to ski any where on the mountain than be able to only throw a couple tricks in a park. Lets see you throw even a 3 in the middle of the bumps and then just keep skiing.
