Less Stoked on Skiing, What to do?

Ok so it's probably just a personal problem but has anyone else become less stoked on skiing as time goes on? I still love it and will ski as much as I can but I just don't have that same feeling about it as I did last year and the year before.

I need a cure for this, plz help

I'm pretty sure it's just the lack of snow. Once we get a storm, that problem will be solved.

Pretty simple. Or try new things like skiing naked down green trails while blasting tupac from a boombox and yelling at anyone in your path.

Most of my friends go to Buena Vista, that's the main reason I go there, and my aunt runs it so I get a free season pass

Try to do a bunch of scary shit that you've never done before. I've had moments where I started to loose my stoke, and that always fixes it.

Watch Cody, banks and Permin and their inbound segment from days if my youth. After watching that I put skis on and buttered on carpet for half an hour and I'm in 30 degree heat in Australia.

I get a lot of my enjoyment from skiing by learning new tricks. For me learning a new trick is one of the best feelings especially if its taken me a lot of tries and frustration. It's fun to look back on my progression and I always like to set new goals. So yeah I guess for you try learning new tricks??? That or get more creative around the mountain - do butters, boost side hits, hand drag knuckles. One of the best things about skiing is theres always more you can do and learn. Also getting new gear and watching edits always gets me hyped. To sum up I never get bored of skiing!

Just buy a ton of skis stuff. Every year I just get stoked when I have new stuff coming. Also UPS trucks can get you hyped in this place.

its normal to get older and lose some of the passion. It doesn't mean you should quit of course, but if other things come along that start to interest you just as much as skiing, let it happen.

If you aren't up to ski, then don't. Pushing yourself to do something you don't want to will only make you not like it more. Take a break, focus on something else and when you feel like you really want to get back out there, then go for it.

Or maybe you're just bored? Push yourself more in what you like to do. Like, if you ride park you should try bigger feautres/tricks. If you're more into big mountain stuff, ride harder lines or something like that. Keep it fun though at the same time.

Also, don't compare your seasons just yet. It's possible the conditions have just been shitty so you haven't really felt the same. You can't compare a pow day to ice. So don't compare your last seasons to the first month. I hope that makes at least some sense.

Lol I don't believe anyone who says they don't have $10. Unless you're 12 you definitely have access to $10.

Anyways its an old ski movie, just watch some of your favorite ski edits.

No one is making you ski. If you are losing passion maybe you should just figure out exactly what is going to give you that feeling again. We all know skiing can give you that, but maybe you need to take a break and realize you would miss it. It sounds like this post is a disguise. OP is having gf issues and changed "GF" to skiing lolololol Dr. pHil out

Dude same thing happened to me. Especially towards the end of college after skiing since I was 2 through 22 40+ days a year on relatively similar mountains kinda loosed its oomph for me.

That being said...I still love skiing its my ultimate favorite thing in life made some amazing friends through it. Now that I work my ass off and can only ski maybe 10-15 days a year now im sooo much more stoked to get out there when the time is limited.

That's why I took up back country skiing. I was getting bored of the resorts, and skiing the same runs day in and day out. #neverstopexploring

Chairlifts actually bore me now. I'd almost rather walk up.

Take up a new hobby, there is so much fun out there! Paragliding, climbing, ice climbing, windskiing/surfing etc...
