kevineganLast year got a pair of antigens and absolutely loved them. After a few moths the edge came out and delammed, thought it was bad luck so I got this years tranfers. Same problem but edge came out, but only after 6 hours of riding and once they touch snow the warranty is gone. Absolutely love the skis but they are probably the shittiest built skis in history
You are completely absolutely and utterly wrong. I have rode Liberty and nothing but it. I have had the same pair of Liberty LTE's for going on 5 SEASONS. They had barely even shown wear and tear after the first season. After almost 5 seasons now of 80+ days of skiing here on nothing but rails in the midwest they are starting to come apart. The edges have cracked and come out, but the sidewalls are helping to hold everything together. A single tip started to delam just last week so I spray painted some rivets got some epoxy and fixed them bitches up. Look bout dope as hell and brand new. The LTE's were bombproof, and I assume the Transfer will as well.
I also own a pair of the Liberty Double Helix, they're my one ski quiver when I go out west. I have rode them for 3 seasons, once for a 6 week period at Alta/Park City. Took them through the park, and all over some questionable snow. Bases and edges may look a little dinged up from rocks but the skis are still killer. Also super durable, I skidded straight into an unseen rock right underfoot, thought forsure my edge was going to end up cracked or blown out, yet somehow, due to sheer luck or Liberty's construction the skis were just fine.
Liberty makes BOMBER skis. Some of the BEST, IMO out there on the market. They are a wonderful company, dedicated to the environment, as well as customer service. I'm sorry that you had a problem with both of your skis, but with friends experiences and myself, that is unheard of. I would reccomend them to a friend, and still do, each and every time they are looking for new skis.
OP: The LTE is the old model of the Transfer. Slightly different. Have yet to ride the transfer but assume they will me similiar. The camber underfoot will make it poppy, and I have heard they are somewhat stiffed, but can still be buttered on, as can any ski. Liberty skis are also all light as hell, and have super low swing weight.
