Replying to My feet fucking HURT
Two & a half years ago, I switched from the SPK to Full Tilt TW Pro. I should preface this by saying I have a moderately wide foot, not quite wide enough for the SPK & not quite narrow enough for the FT. That said, I was recommended and fitted for the the FT TW's but a reputable bootfitter and I have loved the boots from a performance perspective. Great flex, both in terms of stiffness & flex profile, and I really feel like I can drive my ski well. More so than I have every other boot. That said, with my resurgence in my love for park skiing this year, I have been getting nasty, debilitating foot pain. When I was originally fitted for the boot, the fitter blew out the shell on the outside to match my foot width. It was great, but now the boot is biting on my foot and the outside basically goes numb. I'm buckling and unbuckling my boots every run. Another issue I've run into is toe-bang. If I don't land well, I slam my toes into the front of my boot, which fucking hurts, and I end up spending the rest of the day skiing with my toes curled up. I want to ski aggressively, I want to be pain free. I plan on seeing the bootfitter when I go home for PTO, but is there anything I can do in the interim to mitigate this? What would be the obvious solution to toe-bang? I'm assuming a custom foot-board would help. PLEASE HELP
