californiagrownMy weekly drive was leave SF at 2 or 3 am and drive to kirkwood. You get up on the pass on little ol highway 88 around 5ish and have the entire highway to yourself. Totally. There is no town in the oncoming direction for 70 miles, and there is NO reason to come from that way either. A little high, with a big ol cup of Mocha, driving with snow falling and 4inches of fresh, light, untouched snow covering the highway is just awesome. Just the most peacful feeling to be doing that with some good mellow no too loud tunes going.
Id then pull into the best spot in the lot at 6, curl up in my sweet bed setup in back and take a 3 hour nap. Twas amazing.
So if you ever come accross a 4Runner making 30mph GS turns on a deserted snowcovered highway at 4am, you know who it is...
