when i try to change the color it always stays a grey-ish color. i cant figure out why. any help? yeah, i suck at photoshop.

are you working with a gif file? if you are, then cahnge it to jpg or psd or something.

put it in RGB color, right now it's probably in greyscale

as you open the pic (prolly a gif file), you select the whole thing (ctrl+a), then make a new file (ctrl+n), then paste (ctrl+v)

You're probably in greyscale mode. Goto File>New and there should be a drop down menu on the window that comes up that will say 'Greyscale' click it and change it to RGB.
