Soooo yea I thought Nike was pulling out of skiing? Am I missing something here?

that carbon fiber spoiler must feel wonderful when landing even the slightest bit back... don't see any real mods here that needed all of nike's r&d power either. calling bs. again.

They announced they would no longer produce snow-related action sports shit, but they are honoring all contracts to completion.

In this instance, it probably means they had already signed on to sponsor The Sammy C project before the announcement was handed down.

yeah pretty sure they have a team at least through this competition season or whenever contracts expire. I think they look sick, and i wouldn't mind having nike fit my boots.

yeah the atomic uses carbon fiber in the back of the boot to make them stiffer

Yep, on the Redster & Waymaker Carbon boots we mix carbon fiber strands into the polyurethane to increase power and energy transmission in key areas of the boot.

The carbon spoiler on this boot sticks up higher than the liner and given it's thinness combined with the material's stiffness, that could be seriously painful/dangerous on a backseat landing. If this is a real boot, Sammy should reduce the height of that spoiler ASAP.
