Opteka Fisheye: 0.3x fish vs. 0.2x fish vortex... Whats the Diff?

Basically I need a 37mm fish for my beat up old camcorder. Fisheyes I think are the best for the old tvr900's because with a 4:3 ratio, it is very difficult to follow cam due to the lack of FIELD OF VIEW

So I was wondering since I am looking at a babydeath lense, what is the difference between these two Opteka lenses? Is one wider than the other?

By the way any other suggestions on a 37mm fisheye would be appreciated. I have already broken a century babydeath and do not want to fork out another 300...

magnification factor probably? I mean think about it, .2x is going to be wider than .3x (following the logic that .2x100 would be 20 and .3x100 would be 30)

Im pretty sure the .3 is the wider of the two. Going off the fact that its look like the the century optics fisheye for vx1000's. Bad logic.

I had the .3x fisheye and it has way less vignetting than the .2 fisheye

Which would actually lead me to believe that the 0.2 would be wider as it is capturing more of the vignette...

For me, the wider the better...

The .2x is wider, of course. Cheap fisheyes are really bad though, I'd stick with Schneider if you can.

Yeah, I just want wide. Colour distortion around the vignette is not going to be such an issue as I am using the hi8 cam i have used for the past 12 years...

Safe to say I think the vortex will suffice... Thanks!

Buy the cheaper one then.

The .3x seems to be much more low profile, the .2x looks like its fucking huge.
