UVM Students

UVM is chyll. And FST is only slightly less of a joke than Champlain Ski and Ride.

uvm is pretty sick, and I dont know what the other guy was talking about FST is pretty legit, you get a stowe pass, coaching, van rides to the mountain, and pro deals on a bunch of gear.

If uvm wasn't so much money I'd be transferring there right now.

UVM is a great school for a lot of things: Skiing, Academics, People, Nightlife, etc. The academics are what you make of them, although the same can be said for a lot of schools. What are you looking to study?

The skiing around is great and if you are part of the UVMFST there are a lot of perks. Vans to Stowe everyday during the season, an awesome coach who kills it, cross training & tramps, discounts with sponsors, comp entrance fees paid for, and a crew of people to shred with.

The Ski & Snowboard Club is great and is a gateway to skiing and riding for anyone, first timer up to the want to be pro. They provide weekend transportation, on campus movies, trips to west resorts during the breaks (which are always a fucken blast), and a whole host of other benefits.

Campus life is what can be expected of most colleges. There is almost always a party if you are looking for one. The campus is large but you meet a lot of people and it feels a lot smaller once you have been there a few semesters. There are a ton of different types of people at UVM and fortunately a lot of them share a passion for the mountains.

Feel free to PM me with any questions you have…I sure some others will chime in on +/- as there are a lot of kids from UVM that are on NS…additionally if you search there is some other quality information that I might have missed.

IT'S FUCKING AWESOME.

I don't do FST but I have friends on the team who love it. But that is the beauty of the school, there is literally a niche for wherever you fit in.

Do it. You won't regret it.

Would someone please explain to me why the acronym for University of Vermont is UVM? I googled UVT and no other schools came up, so they could use that since it actually makes sense. Or they could be UV and their mascot could be vodka.

Cool, I learned something new today.

you could go to UVM, or you could go to plymouth, party, ski, and pass college moderately easily based on what classes you choose to take. I have a pretty hard major, but I'm still passing my classes well and I ski every chance i get. plus we get a mountain pass that hooks us up with other mountains, or we choose a mountain to basically comp us tickets and this year we got waterville so we can go there whenever and show em our student ID and get a ticket for 7 bucks
