Cody's Line of the Year and Shane McConkey

So for no real reason yesterday I decided to watch the Shane McConkey tribute video by MSP in their movie In Deep. When I was watching it I noticed that Shane's last successful BASE jump location looked really familiar.


I just thought it was crazy that Shane's last full day with us was going down that same line Cody just did and then throwing a front flip off the cliff. But anyways if you haven't seen the tribute to him in 'In Deep', you really need to watch it.

Shane died in Italy. Cody skied that line in Alaska.

That's a good point. I guess it wasn't his last day then, but it was his last successful jump.

Yeah, after a second glance, it's definitely not the same. Here's Cody's line (and TRice/EJack/Nobis/Kreitler/etc).

Shane's last jump was the Val Scura couloir in the Dolomites.

Cody's line was in AK.

Both tight couloir's, but very different.

Shit you're definitely right. I thought that the ledge halfway down (where Shane jumped off of in his) on the left side looked exactly the same in both pictures. Sorry for being a dumbass.
