how is every ski in europe so damn expensive? they are at least 150 dollars more expensive than in the US. why is that?

It's not just skis, all prices in general are higher than in the US

check out sport-conrad.de or sport-bittl.de, they got some decent prices every now and then!

This. If you put in the time, there are great deals out there. Check shops for used gear and besides sport Conrad which has been mentioned already, ekosport.fr has some good deals too
