Is there a certain way you have to pop onto a rail to not catch them?

I don't know what concrete advice to give. It becomes natural after a while

use the fear you have of catching your tips to give you the fear of god and pop like your life depends on it

You might have to go faster but you also really got to commit to the rail

Inb4 ride-on box
But seriously I would say Ollie onto the rail instead of just popping onto it. Probably overkill but exaggerating it will atleast prevent any tip catches
If popping isn't your problem, then try swinging the tips of your skis over the rail before bringing your body over it. This way it will be impossible to catch tips ( plus its a good thing to remember for 2s on)
