Marcus.Athat was a pretty successful edit in my opinion. It started out as something I did not really like too much, when it moved to a different mountain (the one with the 3 swap) at 1:16 the feeling improved. Also at that part of the edit you used follow cam shots that looked better than the stationary shots at the first night spot (0:28) . The music was fine and not a problem. I suggest that you just try to get different angles if you are filming stationary. The shots at the end had better light but thats easy to prevent for next time filming. You are correct that some shots need color correction.
I liked the edit +k, but what is "the lake effect"? what does that mean?
What did gear did you use to film this?
Nice job dude,
Marcus
Thanks, I agree that the edit started off kind of slow, but at the same time I wanted it to have some sort of build up. I'll definitely take changing the angles up more into consideration. Any suggestions on how to color correct?
"The Lake Effect" is simply the name of the video series. Duluth is a city that is located next to Lake Superior, and gets what is known as "Lake Effect" snow.
I used a Canon 7d to film with a Tamron 17-50, and a Tamron 70-300. I used a rode video mic with a deadcat for the audio.
Thanks for the advice! +K
