Urban rail matinence?

I've started skiing urban alot with my friends and we have started hitting some pretty big hand rails on stair sets and stuff like that, before towing in to these features I always get super nervous that the rail is gonna be sticky or dented and I am going to catch. Do other people wax or put wd-40 on urban rails before they hit them??

I wax the rail when it's really needed. Hold your ski up to it and slide it along a few times to see how it feels, especially on the kinks if it's a kink rail. Aluminum rails suck but are do able if you dull your edges down and wax the rail a bunch.

Thats unnecessary, if it is sticky just rub a snow chunk along the length of the rail. Gets the job done and unlike wax, you wont be goin 100mph into a kink

I usually scrape a little rust off with the edges of my skis if there's any. Otherwise snow works really well. I was about to hit a rail that some idiot waxed but the surface was stickier than rubber and unhittable, I was thinking about getting a rag and dish soap to take care of it but never did.

I find goat semen to give you that perfect glide. Not too much stickiness and not too fast, just enough to slow you down into that kink. Not trying to send it like big air Dave off of the first kink after all. Goat semen is great for those really warm days because it's sure to sticks to the rail and glazes over giving you a nice, smooth surface to hit. With just a little goat semen, you too will be able to jib features just as good as goats.
