Preseason-> midseason tricks

I know some people excel and some fall short when it comes from transferring tricks they've learned over the summer on turf, msnow, etc. to the seasonal snow. I personally have a lot of trouble with this. I can do numerous tricks on turf onto certain types of rails, but when I try these tricks on very similar rails on snow I can't, I just can't. Any tips on ways to make the transfer easier or more feasible.
