grassojackOkay so I have the Canon rebel T5i and I was wondering if anyone has used this camera for skiing? Or even in general. Has anyone had experience with any of the rebels? Let me know about any info about the rebels related to filming. From what I understand, its a pretty nice camera, but what do you think?

Rebels are a great camera to start off with IMO. For me it was a great option to begin with because I wanted to take video as well as photos. Lots of people will tell you to get a GH3 or something of the sort for video, but if you already have a t5i, and are just starting there's no reason to upgrade. If your main concern is getting the best image quality possible, you're best investment will be in quality lenses. If you want to see some example videos of using a rebel for filming skiing check out gavinrudy on newschoolers or my own videos. I have used the t2i in all my videos. Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

Just picked up one myself! Had a chance to use the t5i over the summer, and absolutely loved it. Great starter camera, as its super easy to control aperture, iso, and shutterspeed. Also pretty durable in my experience, so I would say stick with it!
