Prompt- Is it fair that some people are healthier, stronger, faster, more creative, more attractive, or more intelligent than others? What if these abilities are due to genetics or luck rather than extra effort on their part?

Yes, it is fair. Everyone is given different advantages and disadvantages. With every advantage that someone has, there is also a disadvantage to it, that someone else might not have. Often if there are two people, one with an advantage over someone that doesn't have that advantage.. Let's say a runner is naturally faster. The other, could have an advantage of better work ethics, that of which the naturally good runner may not have, vise versa. Hope that helped, that's just my opinion.

Some people have those advantages both because they were born with them but they were also born into a privileged enough family that they could explore those traits and build upon them by pursuing their interests outside of just working to survive.

But that is an absolutely terrible prompt, i don't know why the teacher would even want to read these

You should say that yes, some people have advantages, but those with adversities often times accomplish more. And for a conclusion talk about how those with adversities have to overcome their disadvantages, and can become stronger individuals through the process, while some may take their gifts for granted. Don't forget concrete/specific evidence and make it easy to read. Clear, clean, and concise.

That's a good point. Malcolm Gladwell wrote about this in his book David and Goliath. Adversity brings about the need for new ideas and workarounds and thus often ends in more profound and novel results.

There are entire theories on this subject and about how winning the genetic lottery is unfair. There's a real name for this but I can't remember. Should be able to find tons of opinions on this through google if you can't make up your own.
