Recently had a backpack stolen from me in Carinthia with some fairly valuable stuff in it. I'm proposing the idea of setting up a sting operation to catch some of these low life scums in the act. Any ideas?

Put backpacks filled with giraffe shit in the open. Rig them with a small IED so that when they are opened, they get a nice suprise.

I put my jacket on the back of my chair in the basement and went upstairs to get food once. Someone decided it would be a good idea to search through the pockets and I caught him in the act. But joke was on him, I accidentally exploded two barbecue sauce packs in there hours before he went pocket diving.
Karma gets shit done sometimes. But seriously fuck the 13 year old twats who are constantly stealing shit from carinthia. That's why we can't have nice things.

it was bad last season but from what ive heard its just getting worse. I luckily havent been a victim but something needs to be done.Maybe taking their pass if theyre caught or something.

We used to have this problem at one of our local places, people would just steal skis right off the rack outside. Then they installed cameras and that pretty much put an end to that.
Cameras make thieves really uncomfortable though, so maybe get your friend to leave a decoy bag somewhere and then sit there filming it with a gopro or your phone or something. If someone goes and tales it confront them in front of everyone in the lodge and send the footage to the cops.

my friends backpack got stolen last season, lap before it was stolen he took his wallet and phone out which was lucky. lesson learned, dont leave your shit out
