Rossignol FKS Bindings Adjustment

Hi,

I am looking at getting a pair of FKS bindings this year, but am unsure about how much they can be adjusted by since my brother will be using them after my holiday. His boots are 305mm and mine are 317mm- are they close enough so that we will be able to adjust them without having to remount them? Thanks Jamie

Not necessarily true since they aren't mounted yet. Have them mounted for a bsl that falls in the middle of both of yours and you will be fine. Have them mounted for a 311 mm bsl and you will have no problem adjusting the forward pressure to accommodate both boot lengths. My roommate and I share some of our prototype skis and neither of us will ride anything but an FKS at a resort. I have a 308 mm bsl, he has a 296 mm. We mount for a 302 mm and we have enough adjustability in either direction. I have read that pivots have a total of 19 mm of adjustability, so 9.5 mm in either direction for a proper mount. Based on my experience, I don't quite buy that range, but 6 mm in either direction isn't an issue. Also, take mounting location into account if you do this. You wouldn't want to mount at center because the person with the smaller boot will be riding forward.

you also have to take into account, there is like a "sweet spot" on the turntable, and if youre too far back of that, the arms scrape on the sides of the heel of your boot.i went from a 301mm to a 308 and i actually had to have a remount. the boot fit just fine with adjustment, but the arms scraped againts the side of my new boot so i got a remount. -just some things to consider. i would recommend getting a pair of STH2s. they have more adjustment and are bomber binding just like the fks

FKS have the least amount of adjustment out of the most popular park bindings out there. I've fit a half size decently (315mm to a 310mm), but the back arms simply dont allow much more travel beyond that. I think going in the middle would probably just create two unsafe configurations rather than one.

^ I'm pretty sure if you tried that you'd just end up being fucked both ways as neither of you will be able to use em...

As mentioned above adjustment is 20mm on the new pivots. So, to spre lot out, that 10mm of adjustment either side of the BSL the clamps are mounted for.
